U.S. FedEx Manager Charged With Stealing $400K Worth of Toner Cartridges

MURFREESBORO — The manager of the FedEx Print and Ship Center in the Stones River Mall complex was arrested Tuesday on charges of stealing $400,000 worth of printer toner, according to a police report.

Timothy Stone, 44, of the 4600 block of Garcia Boulevard, was charged with with theft greater than $60,000, according to the report. This is a Class B felony. If convicted, Stone faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of as much as $25,000.

Stone is suspected of stealing the toner cartridges since as early as 2006 in order to sell them to online competitors, according to the report.

Stone’s bond was set at $10,000. His court date is set for Oct. 14.
