D.C.I. Named Sustainable Manufacturer Of The Year.
-Lincolnshire based manufacturers victorious at the ‘Made in the Midlands’ awards in Birmingham-
Dynamic Cassette International (DCI) were named Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year award at this year’s Made in the Midlands awards.
Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, DCI are Europe’s leading manufacturer of remanufactured printer cartridges. The company, who pride themselves on a zero landfill policy, recover all materials in-house, including used toner powder, wood and metal.
The awards ceremony itself, organised by Insider Media, was held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Thursday 18th May. Chase Distillery and last year’s winner, Purity Brewing were both beaten to the prestigious award by DCI. The ceremony is one of many that have been held across the country recently to find the best manufacturers in various regions across several awards categories.
The Lincolnshire based manufacturers were represented on the night by Marketing Manager, Cassandra Brennan, Social Media Executive, Calum Chinchen and Business Development Manager, Donna Savidge.
The latter had the following to say when asked about the win:
“We are delighted to win such a prestigious award and would like to thank Insider Media and all those involved in the awards for choosing us. We are continuously striving to satisfy environmental concerns and pride ourselves on our sustainability, so being recognised means a great deal to everyone here at DCI. It was our first time attending the awards, and we can’t speak highly enough of how impressive the evening was – we will certainly be returning in the future.”
As a result of winning the regional award for Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year, DCI are now automatically through to the national finals – Made in the UK – held on Thursday 22nd June at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, where they will be up against other manufacturers from around the UK, for the same category.
The evening’s host, Ben Thompson of BBC Breakfast, tweeted DCI with his congratulations shortly after their win.
