Commercial Cartridge Company Opens in Southern California
CHINO, Calif. – Jorge Neves, the former managing director at TBA Inkjets in Duarte and Don Newton, former sales manager have teamed up to form the Commercial Cartridge Company in Chino, California.TBA Inkjets closed unexpectedly last December when its Brazilian parent TB Acessórios’ made a decision to exit the United States market. Neves and Newton decided that TBA Inkjets’ newly developed core businesses of remanufacturing HP 45 fast dry Addressing Inks and importing Pitney Bowes compatibles would sustain a new venture. In addition Commercial Cartridge Company handles the service support for the ECO filling equipment used by Cartridge World stores.
Neves graduated from the Universidad Metodista de Sao Paulo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Foreign Trade. After spending some years in the banking industry, Neves joined TB Acessórios’ as the international business manager. In 2009, he was promoted to managing director and transferred to TB Acessórios’ North American subsidiary, TBA Inkjets.
Newton is a graduate of the University of Washington and formerly spent 26 years at Brother International as an RVP in both the commercial and retail divisions. When Newton began at Brother, its sales volume in the United States was under $100M, at the end of his tenure it had grown to over $1.5B in US sales.
