    WHO IS JOHN SOLOMOM AT HP ?
    Can John Solomon Lead HP’s Imaging and Printing Group’s for
    Asia Pacific and Japan Region ?

    HP  today
    announced the appointment of John Solomon as senior vice president of
    the Asia Pacific and Japan region business within the company’s Imaging
    and Printing Group (IPG), effective immediately.A 15-year veteran of HP,
    Solomon has served since 2007 as vice president and general manager of
    HP’s U.S. consumer business and IPG’s inkjet and web solutions business
    for the Americas.

    In his new role, he will lead the teams
    responsible for accelerating IPG’s growth in its Asia Pacific and Japan
    region, which represents an estimated $61 billion market opportunity for
    printing products and services. HP is well positioned to address this
    opportunity with a portfolio of devices, supplies, software and
    solutions that span multiple customer segments, including enterprise,
    graphics, small- to midsize business and consumer.

    Solomon will
    report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of the Imaging and
    Printing Group at HP. He succeeds Christopher Morgan, who recently left
    the role to lead the worldwide Graphics Solutions business, which is
    also part of IPG.“The Asia Pacific and Japan region is an important
    growth opportunity for HP,” said Joshi. “John’s experienced and proven
    business leadership in the region, combined with his strong strategic
    and relationship skills, and his passion for serving customers, will
    help drive our business to the next level.”

    Solomon has held a
    number of global and regional senior management positions for HP,
    including leading IPG’s supplies go-to-market unit for the Asia Pacific
    and Japan region. This role included sales, marketing, operations and
    business development.

    Solomon will be based in Singapore. He
    holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the
    University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and an MBA from the University
    of Washington.
