Xerox and Customers Take Six Gold Ink Awards

    Xerox and two commercial
print customers, Tucker Printers and Automated Graphic Systems,
honored. Winning entries produced on Xerox iGen3 and wide-format
    printers.

ROCHESTER, NY, Aug, 2005 – Xerox Corporation  and two of its
commercial printing customers – Tucker Printers and Automated Graphic
Systems – won six “Gold Ink Awards” for high-quality books, posters and
personalized marketing materials, all of which were produced with Xerox
    digital technology.

    1500 Entries Judged
The awards, chosen from nearly 1,500 entries, are sponsored by Printing
Impressions and PrintMedia magazines and are judged by an independent
panel of graphic artists, production managers and print buyers. These
six winning entries were produced on the Xerox iGen3® Digital
Production Press and the Xerox 8160 Wide Format Color Printer.

Tucker Printers, a Consolidated Graphics Company in Rochester, N.Y.,
received top honors for its “Parsons Art and Science Book” publication
in the Digital Printing category. Tucker also won an award for its
“Xerox Digital Color Integrated Marketing Campaign for Commercial
Print” in the Direct Mail Packages-Variable Data category. Both of
Tucker’s pieces were printed on the iGen3 press.

“Our customers demand high-quality output, and with the Xerox iGen3 we
can exceed their expectations,” said Dan Tucker, president, Tucker
Printers. “Applications like the Parsons book illustrate the
outstanding image quality the iGen3 press produces on a variety of
stocks, including textured papers. We are now able to offer the
advantages of digital printing with the look and feel of offset.”

Automated Graphic Systems, located in White Plains, Md., received an
award for its “2005 Seminar Series Mailer” in the Direct Mail
Packages-Variable Data category. The piece was printed in full color on
    the iGen3 press.

In addition to the work by its customers, Xerox received three awards
for using its technology to produce wide format and poster-sized
digital prints, showcasing the capabilities of the iGen3 press and the
Xerox 8160 Wide Format Color Printer.

The awards will be presented at PRINT® ’05, North America’s largest
exhibition of printing technology and services, held Sept. 9-15 in
Chicago. For more information on the Gold Ink Awards, visit goldink.com.
