XEROX NOTIFIES 2,500 EMPLOYEES OF LAYOFFS
Some Xerox employees in Webster New York and worldwide were notified today that they are out of a job. The company previously had announced it was reducing its employee base world-wide by 2,500 positions.
Xerox says it’s not disclosing specific numbers in any location but while positions are being eliminated in Webster, the company is continuing to hire in some areas and projects from other parts of the country are being consolidated in Webster.Currently, the Monroe County employment count is at 6,800 and 136,500 worldwide.
