Turkey’s Competition Authority has fined Kyocera and distributor Geskopikit Dijital Kopyalama AŞ (GESKOPİKİT) for violating antitrust laws through reseller price fixing and restrictive sales practices, marking another major enforcement action in Turkey’s growing crackdown on anti-competitive behavior. The regulator concluded that the companies unlawfully influenced dealer pricing, restricted customer and territorial sales, and attempted to limit parallel imports that could increase market competition. Under the settlement agreement, Kyocera was fined TRY 14.49 million, while GESKOPİKİT received a TRY 3.95 million penalty — equivalent to approximately USD 100,000.00. Both companies received reduced fines after cooperating with the investigation and agreeing to revise dealer agreements and end the restrictive practices. The case highlights increasing regulatory scrutiny of reseller pricing policies and distribution controls in the global office equipment and printing industry.
