TOKYO, October 31, 2023—Canon Inc. today announced that in the third quarter of 2023, it has used the Amazon reporting tool^*, letters of inquiry and/or information letters to successfully remove 647 listings^** from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium^***. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium is 32,502^**. The listings offered third-party laser printer toner cartridges from vendors that Canon believes infringed one or more of European Patent No. 2 087 407, European Patent No. 2 137 577, European Patent No. 1 977 289, European Patent No. 3 470 931 and European Patent No. 3 270 230.
