TOKYO, April 20, 2023—Canon Inc. today announced that in the first quarter of 2023, it has used the Amazon reporting tool*, letters of inquiry and/or information letters to successfully remove 853 listings** from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and The Netherlands. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and The Netherlands is 31,116**. The listings offered third-party laser toner cartridges from vendors that Canon believes infringed one or more of European Patent No. 2 087 407, European Patent No. 2 137 577, European Patent No. 1 977 289, European Patent No. 3 470 931 and European Patent No. 3 270 230.
