AGAIN China’s Ninestar Defies U.S. Ban
in Latest Promotion—Time for a Total Shutdown.

China-based Ninestar Technology Co., Ltd., a company with a history of defying U.S. trade restrictions, is once again aggressively seeking American buyers despite mounting tariffs and past sanctions (see below). Instead of complying with regulations, Ninestar is circumventing U.S. trade policies and pushing its products onto the market, raising serious concerns about enforcement and national security.

Blatant Disregard for U.S. Trade Laws
As of March 4, 2025, the U.S. government has significantly increased tariffs on toner and ink cartridges imported from China, raising them from 7.5% to 27.5%. Products from Canada and Mexico are now subject to a 25% tariff. However, rather than complying with the intent of these trade policies, Ninestar is urging U.S. customers to stockpile its products before another price hike in April.

In a brazen email campaign, the company admits that it will have to increase prices again next month due to tariff losses and urges buyers to place large orders immediately. This direct appeal to American businesses highlights a critical failure in enforcement—why is Ninestar still operating in the U.S. market despite its track record of violations?

A Company with a Troubled Past
Ninestar was previously blacklisted by the Biden administration in 2023 over allegations of forced labor, effectively banning several of its subsidiaries from doing business in the United States. Yet, despite these sanctions, the company continues to find loopholes to sell its products, raising concerns about the effectiveness of U.S. trade enforcement.

Regulators have failed to shut down the company’s operations completely, allowing it to persist in undercutting American businesses and profiting from its controversial practices. If Ninestar can so easily work around sanctions, what does this say about the government’s ability to enforce trade restrictions?

    Why Is This Still Happening?
Ninestar’s continued presence in the U.S. market is an affront to American trade laws and businesses. The fact that the company is openly marketing its products to American customers—despite past bans and increasing tariffs—demonstrates a lack of regulatory control.

The government must take stronger action, not just by imposing tariffs but by shutting down any remaining channels through which Ninestar operates in the U.S. Allowing them to continue selling their products undermines domestic manufacturers, exploits legal loopholes, and weakens the impact of previous sanctions.

    A Call for Immediate Action
It is time for authorities to crack down on Ninestar’s operations once and for all. Regulators must strengthen enforcement mechanisms to ensure that companies like Ninestar do not continue to defy trade laws and exploit American consumers. Without decisive action, these blatant violations will persist, setting a dangerous precedent for other foreign companies looking to bypass U.S. regulations.

The question remains: Will the U.S. government finally put an end to Ninestar’s defiance, or will they continue to allow this company to operate unchecked

    Dear valued customer,
You may be aware that the tariff on the products imported from China has been raised by 20% on March 4, 2025 from previous 7.5% to 27.5% (toner and ink cartridges). The tariff on the products imported from Canada and Mexico has been imposed 25% at same time. And most likely the tariff on the products imported from China will be raised even more in the rest of 2025. Due to high tariff, we have to adjust our selling price in April again to cover the lost on tariff. Please buy as much as you need this month. The price will be higher next month for sure. Please hurry up. Thank you.

    Sincerely
    Marketing Dept.
