The High Criminal Court convicted two Pakistani workers of possessing and trafficking methamphetamine (shabu) and synthetic cannabinoids. The defendants cleverly soaked the printer paper in unregulated CBD oil to transport and store the drugs without detection, the court was told.
Authorities seized 177 sheets of A4 paper from the suspects, with 28 found on one defendant and 149 at his residence. The two men, aged 34 and 26, were identified and arrested after a Customs officer flagged a suspicious package arriving in Bahrain with the 26-year-old’s name on it. Inside the package, authorities discovered 850 grams of powdered meth hidden between folded bedsheets, prompting the case to be transferred to the Anti-Narcotics Directorate.
