Canon AGAIN Names and Shames Chinese Toner Counterfeiters in Latest Amazon Takedown Request.
Tokyo, April 16, 2025 — Canon Inc. has filed a patent infringement report with Amazon.com, targeting a list of third-party toner cartridge sellers offering products that allegedly violate Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 11,215,949. The products—mostly clone cartridges believed to originate from China, thus seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain counterfeit toner cartridges.

Canon’s report, filed March 10, 2025, identified unauthorized sellers offering infringing versions of Canon toner models such as W2100A–W2103A, Cartridge 069, and 069H. Offending brands included Toner H-Party, v4ink, LEMERO UEXPECT, SINOPRINT, and others, sold by sellers like True Printing, WST. INC, Color Office Tech, and JINTUM.

Canon emphasized its commitment to protecting its patented technologies and warned that it will continue to take legal action against companies that infringe its intellectual property.

The company also urged customers to buy from authorized dealers and avoid clone cartridges that may damage printers or void warranties.
