Cartridge.co.za Achieves HP IPG South African Partner Status.
Cartridge.co.za, South African IT consumables supply company, has recently earned the IPG Connect Partner status from HP, a global leader in IT. This prestigious partnership status allows Cartridge.co.za to access all the benefits that IPG partners enjoy, such as lower prices, exclusive products and services, and support from HP and other IPG partners. This also enables Cartridge.co.za to offer these benefits to its growing customer base.

“We are very proud of this accomplishment, especially because we achieved it in a short span of time,” said Mario Sequeira, Operations Director at Cartridge.co.za. “We started our e-business in July 2001, with the aim of being at the forefront of online transactions in the ink and toner industry.

“However, we soon realized that the South African consumer was more cautious about buying over the Internet, compared to their European and American counterparts, which meant that we had to adopt a more traditional business model to supplement and support our e-commerce efforts.

“Thankfully, an increase in e-business in 2003, along with the development of innovative value-added solutions for the corporate sector, has resulted in Cartridge.co.za benefiting from being one of the early pioneers in this field.”

In just over two years, Cartridge.co.za has become one of SAs fastest growing original` consumable resellers, despite the increasing number of consumers opting for refilled cartridges.

“The demand for refilled or remanufactured cartridges is constantly rising, and we have to cater for that consumer as well, but due to the recent appreciation of the rand, the price difference between the two has reduced, and it has become affordable again to buy original cartridges. This is good news for the local consumer because for the last few years, many consumers had no option but to buy refilled units due to the expensive prices of new,” says Jason Browne, Sales Director for Cartridge.co.za.

“Today, our consumers can have the confidence of either buying original cartridges without breaking their bank, or refills from trustworthy remanufactures, but at least they don`t have to settle for the low quality, unreliable refills that flooded the market in recent years.”

Besides its new partnership with HP, Cartridge.co.za has also implemented authentic black economic empowerment policies to comply with government and corporate standards.
