HP Nabs and Finalizes $53 Million in Biden
CHIPS Act Money for Oregon Expansion Before Trump Inauguration. The Biden administration announced on Monday that it has finalized a $53 million grant for HP Inc. to support research and manufacturing expansion in Corvallis, Oregon.
While the Commerce Department first unveiled the subsidy last summer, other incentives have been scaled back, renegotiated, or canceled altogether as some chipmakers reevaluated their expansion plans due to falling sales. In the final weeks before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, the Biden administration has been swiftly concluding agreements.
