Atlanta, GA — October 13, 2025 — CARE has joined forces with the HP Foundation to scale up the Strive Women program — an initiative under the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth — to benefit 300,000 people, especially women entrepreneurs, across Pakistan, Peru, and Vietnam. (CARE) Strive Women is designed to help women-led micro and small enterprises (W‑MSEs) tackle financial and digital barriers. To date, the program has directly supported over 72,000 entrepreneurs, with ambitions to reach 300,800 by 2027; additionally, it has indirectly impacted more than 1.15 million people through communication campaigns.
Under the new HP‑supported expansion, the program will provide: Hands-on training in digital skills, including use of AI‑enabled tools. Capacity building for using digital financial services Broader access via online learning platforms to reach remote and underserved women entrepreneurs.
Michele Malejki, Global Head of Social Impact at HP and Executive Director of the HP Foundation, emphasized the vision: “The future of work will be defined by those who can leverage AI and digital technology … we’re ensuring that women entrepreneurs in Pakistan, Peru and Vietnam … are empowered to thrive.”
This partnership reinforces HP’s goal of achieving digital equity for 150 million people by 2030. CARE CEO Michelle Nunn highlighted the multiplier effect, saying, “when women succeed, entire communities benefit.” Together with the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, CARE and the HP Foundation aim to strengthen women-led businesses by giving them the skills, tools, confidence, and support needed to grow, become more productive, and gain sustained financial inclusion.
