HP’s Calculated Wait for Their Toner Chips:
Embracing European Toner Remanufacturing in late 2025-2026.

In an unexpected development, HP has signaled a significant shift in its operational strategy, indicating that it will not expedite the provision of toner chips to European toner remanufacturers until late 2025-2026. This revelation comes alongside HP’s announcement to fully embrace the remanufactured cartridge market, a move that aligns with the growing global emphasis on sustainability.

The Strategic Pause: HP’s decision to delay the distribution of toner chips is seen as a strategic maneuver, allowing the company to align its resources and policies with the long-term goal of supporting the remanufacturing industry. By postponing this initiative, HP is believed to be focusing on research and development efforts to ensure that when the chips are finally released, they will set a new benchmark for compatibility and performance in remanufactured products.

Sustainability Meets Innovation: The delay until late 2025-2026 is also thought to be part of HP’s strategy to introduce a new era of innovation within the remanufacturing sector. The company is reportedly working on cutting-edge technology that will not only improve the functionality of remanufactured cartridges but also significantly reduce the environmental footprint of printing activities.

HP’s approach suggests a future where remanufactured cartridges are at the forefront of the printing industry, offering a seamless blend of eco-friendliness and high-quality performance. The company’s commitment to this vision is expected to foster a more sustainable and responsible market, with HP leading the charge towards a greener future.

Tonernews.com: it’s not like HP really wanted to do this, they were basically forced to do so after the Italian court’s ruling that they must pay $10 Million for bricking printers, and with constant pressure from ETIRA and the European Union, HP had no choice then to prop-up remanufacturing. Waiting until late 2025 and into 2026, shows that HP is stalling for as long as they can, but the sometimes-slow European Union way of doing business is good for the EU reman toner industry this time around. Hopefully, they will also sell chips to US remanufacturers to stop our dependency on unstable Chinese toner chips. This is something that Tonernews.com and it’s US associates want to happen right away, but they (HP) will stall for years if they can.
