    Kodak has been ordered to pay substantial penalties in the ongoing Fujifilm v Kodak patent dispute, with the Mannheim Local Division of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) imposing a €1.72 million lump sum for the company’s failure to comply with earlier court orders. In addition to this amount, Kodak now faces daily fines of €25,000 for every day it continues to violate the court’s orders, which include providing information on past infringements, recalling and destroying infringing products, and ensuring full compliance with patent obligations. The ruling highlights the UPC’s tough stance on enforcement, and the daily fines are expected to mount until Kodak fulfills its legal responsibilities in the case.
