Kyocera has announced a strategic partnership with the Swiss-based iPrint Institute to accelerate the development of next-generation inkjet technologies for industrial applications. Starting in October 2025, Kyocera will collaborate directly with iPrint’s research center in Switzerland, setting up a dedicated space to jointly develop solutions using specialized inks and functional materials.
The partnership aims to move inkjet technology beyond traditional printing and into advanced fields such as 3D printing, printed electronics, and functional coatings. By combining Kyocera’s expertise in printhead design and materials engineering with iPrint’s deep research capabilities, the two organizations plan to tackle technical challenges such as high-viscosity ink handling, material compatibility, and precision deposition. This collaboration also supports Kyocera’s broader push toward sustainable manufacturing, as inkjet-based processes can reduce waste and increase production flexibility. The joint effort is expected to accelerate time-to-market for new industrial inkjet solutions and solidify Kyocera’s position in a competitive, fast-evolving field.
