    Major US supplier of resin for toner (Nippon Carbide Industries) will be discontinuing operations at the end of 2021.

    This closure will have a major impact on the supply of resin for toner to customers in the USA and throughout the world. Nippon Carbide is open to offers to purchase the plant and all the equipment; otherwise, production will be stopped permanently. Expect the price of toner to increase significantly in the future until shipping rates from China start to decline.
