Greentec Awarded Platinum Program Operator Award by the Recycling Council of Ontario at the 2011 Waste Minimization Awards Gala
CAMBRIDGE, ON NOVEMBER 1ST, 2011 – Over 220 representatives from Ontario businesses and institutions gathered at the Recycling Council of Ontario’s annual Waste Minimization Awards Gala to compete for the title of the provinces’ leaders and innovators in environmental sustainability.
Greentec proudly accepted the platinum award in the Program Operator and Sustainable Service category. As a first time nominee in this category, Greentec was recognized as Ontario’s best waste diversion program operator, recycler and processor involved in residential, IC&I collection and waste processing. Open to both private and public sector organizations, Greentec outperformed the competition in the following areas: amount/range of materials handled, material tracking to final disposition, monitoring, measurement, program innovation, communication, training and environmental leadership.
