Kodak Introduces Compact Kiosk for Retailers
    OCT
2007 Eastman Kodak introduced the KODAK Picture Kiosk GS Compact, an
entry-level, self-service digital picture printing solution, which
opens business opportunities for new retail locations, including
smaller and non-traditional environments. Well-suited for locations
with print demand of 30-50 prints a day, the GS Compact is a smaller
countertop unit that combines flexible placement with fast and simple
installation. Almost immediately, retailers can begin offering 4×6,
5×7, and 6×8-inch print sizes, creating an instant revenue stream. The
new GS Compact is small enough to fit within their retail footprint at
a price point that enables them to almost immediately drive revenue and
profits from consumer demand for digital prints.”Many retailers
worldwide want to offer their consumers self-service digital picture
printing but struggle to find a solution that meets multiple business
needs,” said Nicki Zongrone, general manager of Retail System
Solutions, and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “The new GS
Compact is small enough to fit within their retail footprint at a price
point that enables them to almost immediately drive revenue and profits
from consumer demand for digital prints. We even include the Point of
Sale materials with each unit – it’s an instant printing station in a
box because a retailer can be up and running in only minutes.”The GS
Compact is backed by Kodak’s proven expertise in kiosks, and it
leverages the software platform used on the more than 85,000 full-sized
KODAK Kiosks installed worldwide. It supports 4×6, bordered 5×7, and
6×8 print sizes without changing media and an 11-second print time for
4×6 prints. The GS Compact also includes enhanced ID photo
capabilities, which make it easier for retailers to meet size
requirements for different countries. In addition to standard prints,
consumers can make enlargements and Print Packages and can print
pictures from BLUETOOTH imaging-enabled mobile devices.

New KODAK 805 Photo Printer Also Introduced
    In
addition to the GS Compact, Kodak introduced the KODAK 805 Photo
Printer, which is optimized for lower print volume environments. The
KODAK 805 Photo Printer enables retailersto offer their consumers 8×10
and 8×12 enlargements, collages, and calendars in seconds.”The
introductions of the KODAK Picture Kiosk GS Compact and the KODAK 805
Photo Printer build on the world’s broadest suite of printing solutions
that offer profitable growth to retailers,” said Zongrone. “Our focus
is to provide tested and proven solutions that bring maximum retailer
profit and growth potential while minimizing retailer investment and
risk.”The KODAK Picture Kiosk GS Compact and the KODAK 805 Photo
    Printer are now available worldwide.
