May 2007 — Mount Laurel (NJ): Oki Data Americas, part of OKI Printing
Solutions, has launched ProfitOPS, a new partner alliance designed to
reverse shrinking channel profits. The launch is said to increase the
company’s investment in the channel “by more than 100 percent,
introducing a strategic business planning tool for channel partners
with upfront discounts”.Greg Van Acker, VP of US sales, said: “After 35
years of working loyally with the channel, we took a fresh approach and
developed an entirely new partnership concept that will deliver profits
back to printing and give our channel partners a proven business
planning methodology to grow their overall business again.”We’re not
revising or expanding existing programmes that don’t work in today’s
business climate. ProfitOPS is an aggressive solution to margin
compression and eroding profits developed strategically as if we were
entering the market for the first time.”According to Stewart Krentzman,
president and CEO of Oki Data Americas: “Oki Data has never been better
positioned to lead change in the channel and drive partner
profitability. We have a full-line product portfolio backed by
exceptional customer service and support and, for those solution
providers willing to make the commitment, a world-class business
planning blueprint that will drive long-term growth beyond their
printer business.”
