HP Rejects Rumors of Moving China Manufacturing Supply Chain. HP, one of the world’s leading PC and printer makers, has denied the rumors that it is planning to transfer its manufacturing supply chain out of China, amid the ongoing trade tensions and sanctions between the US and China. The company said that it has no intention of leaving China, which is its largest market and a key source of innovation and talent.
HP’s sales in China have been growing steadily, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and the competition from local brands. In the third quarter of 2023, HP’s revenue in China increased by 12% year-on-year, reaching $3.7 billion, accounting for 16% of its total revenue. HP’s PC market share in China also rose to 11.5%, ranking third behind Lenovo and Dell.
